Help us by using your voice to support our work

Across the world an estimated 5.4 million children are living in orphanages and other institutions, and as a result, they are outside the care of a loving family. Most of these children have families that could look after them with the right support. Help us bring them home.

More Than A Number Campaign80 years of research shows that institutions harm children. There is also evidence showing that institutions are much less cost effective than family care. This campaign makes a clear case for the benefits in redirecting well-meaning philanthropic funds toward care systems that place children first. Take the pledge today!

Ending Violence Against ChildrenViolence is a major driver of child-family separation, which can lead to children being placed in institutions. Children and young people entering care are then exposed to the risk of further violence in the system which is meant to protect them. This is why we have joined the Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children to see an end to violence against children.
