In this short film Ivan recalls his time spent at the institution and explains why, thanks to Lumos, he is looking forwards to a brighter future.
Ivan, a Lumos supported self-advocate talks about his time at Rudnik, a state institution in Bulgaria where he spent his childhood. It housed 35 children with disabilities and was described by Ilia Lliev, Head of Social Services as a "depressing place, where children were confined to their rooms with no toys or personal belongings".
