It’s estimated that, every year, UK charities miss out on £560 million in unclaimed Gift Aid tax relief.

Lumos is able to claim thousands of pounds in Gift Aid each year, which is a huge boost for our fundraising and means we can do so much more to achieve our mission of a world where all children can grow up in safe and loving families.

Gift Aid is a tax relief for charities in the UK to increase donations – at no extra cost to the person making the donation. When we receive a donation from a UK taxpayer, Lumos can claim an extra 25% paid on that donation, if the donor ticks the Gift Aid box.

This means a £10 donation processed with Gift Aid becomes a £12.50 donation! And a £100 gift is worth £125 towards our work.
