Safeguarding Policy
SAFEGUARDING AT LUMOS
Lumos recognises that the rights of safety and security are aligned with our core mission of ending institutionalisation and ensuring a family for every child. Effective and robust safeguarding sit at the heart of our mission and values, and accordingly, Lumos is committed to ensuring the safety and protection of children, adults at risk and the wider community in all its work.
All Lumos staff, associates (including trustees, consultants and volunteers) and partners are required to adhere to Lumos Safeguarding Policy and the conduct expectations set out within, both in their professional and private lives, at all times. All receive regular training on safeguarding to help ensure Lumos meets the highest standard of safety, care and respect at all times.
Lumos takes an approach of zero tolerance towards all forms of bullying, harassment, sexual exploitation and abuse or any other form of maltreatment, whether towards children, adults at risk, colleagues or anyone else.

LUMOS GLOBAL PROTECTION FROM SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AND ABUSE (PSEA) POLICY
As set out in the Global Safeguarding Policy for Children and Adults at Risk (Global Safeguarding Policy), Lumos has a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of harm, abuse and exploitation and is committed to the principle of “Do No Harm” across all our work. This policy, derived from the Global Safeguarding Policy, sets out the specific expectations for all staff, associates, partners and contractors in relation to Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), including implementation, monitoring and response.
